From the sweep of her sheer to the detail of her finish work, her pedigree is unmistakable.

Originally built for one of America's foremost and most demanding
yachtsmen, PALAWAN was painstakingly created to be the ultimate gentleman's
cruiser.

Named for a remote island in the Philippines, PALAWAN was solidly constructed for long offshore passages and circumnavigations.

Sail magazine has described her speed as "rather better than a 12-Meter,"* a swiftness
she handily demonstrated in the 1998 Nantucket Bucket, finishing first in the racing fleet of 28 large yachts.

But this gracious lady also adapts beautifully to a slower pace, lingering with ease among palm-shaded islands and exploring colorful harbors and seaside villages.

PALAWAN is a remarkable shoal-draft cruiser, ingeniously designed with not one, but two centerboards. When they are lowered to their full fifteen-foot draft, she slices through the water with incredible directional stability. But when the boards are raised, she skims the shallows as effortlessly as she does the open ocean. Giving you the best of both worlds, PALAWAN can put well over 200 miles behind her in a day, and then tuck up into a hidden anchorage that's beyond the reach of all those deep-keeled vessels.

PALAWAN offers a large cockpit area with plenty of comfortably contoured seating.
