BROCHURE

  Ibis

Ibis is a magnificent Gentleman's Yacht, custom built in 1962 by the world renowned yard of Aage Waisted in Denmark.

Ibis (previously NAVARANA) is constructed to exceed Lloyds' specifications with the best grades of Oak, Honduras Mahogany and Burmese Teak.

Several extensive refits - the latest in 1996 -assure that IBIS is in pristine condition with all modern amenities aboard.

The on deck cockpit amidships seats six conveniently. Wheelhouse and awning shelter this area from excess sun and wind.

In harmony with Ibis' Old World charm your hosts offer classic international cuisine and consider it a challenge to provide you with high quality, compelling menus.

With her large raised main saloon, her convenient pilothouse and powerful engine one could easily think of Ibis as a motor-sailor, but that would almost be an offense to her superior sailing abilities. The avid sailor will experience Ibis as exciting, fast and very seakindly - both under sail and power.

With her gracious lines and timeless elegance IBIS is designed for stylish luxury. The main saloon is richly paneled in varnished French walnut. Large windows make this a cheerful and airy gathering spot in any weather; comfortable dining and lounging for six persons does not crowd this area. Befitting to the genuine elegance of this classic yacht, mostly natural fabrics have been chosen for the interior decoration.

Forward of the saloon are an extensively equipped galley and crew quarters with head and shower. The two spacious aft staterooms -one with a double berth and one with two singles - are designed for a party of four. They are decorated in varnished maple with walnut trim. Each stateroom has its own head to assure the utmost privacy.

The skilled captain and his wife are capable of handling Ibis without any help, but of course you are welcome to lend an assisting hand or to take the wheel if so inclined.
