Captain Jon Keen and Chef Hannah Davies

 Captain: Jon Keen

Jon grew up sailing on the south west coast of England and by the age of 15 was not only regularly skippering race yachts, but winning numerous regattas including a national championship. Jon then went on to teach sailing near Narbonne on the French Mediterranean to large groups of young adults.

After completing a City and Guilds course in traditional wooden boat building, Jon joined the 144’ classic three mast gaff schooner Shenandoah of Sark where he was employed as a deckhand/carpenter. More recently he has worked aboard the busy charter yachts Drumbeat and Aspasia Alpha.

Away from yachting Jon has worked as a Chalet Manager, Sales Manager and has run and owned his own construction company all adding to the strong organizational, management and interpersonal skills that he has developed.

Jon has a Master of Yachts 200 Ton and Office of Watch 500 Ton certificates. He is also a qualified PADI dive instructor.

Chef: Hannah Davies

Hannah has during the last eight years worked extensively in the catering and hospitality industry’s and her career in yachting and aviation has allowed her to travel all over the world. She prides herself on providing an extremely high standard of service.

Cooking has always been a passion of Hannah’s and in addition to her culinary studies at the Tante Marie school of cooking, she has worked as a Chalet Chef in Meribel in France and as a second at a busy Mediterranean cuisine restaurant in Salcombe, England.

Hannah has recently worked on board a 58m motor yacht as stewardess and also for the yacht’s owner as sole stewardess onboard his Boeing 737, responsible for the catering for the crew and guests.
